About the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank
The Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank (SVFB) is dedicated to providing food and key resources to help our neighbors and our community thrive. Founded on the belief that the health of our community is dependent on the well-being of those who live in it, the SVFB strives to be a helpful, inclusive resource to our neighbors and to treat all with respect and care.

Current Openings
Development Manager
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Salary: $75,000 per year
Location: Hybrid. At least one day per week on site in North Bend is required. Additional on-site presence is required when needed for donor and community engagement or events.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Development Manager plays a vital role in supporting the growth and sustainability of the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank. This position manages fundraising and donor engagement, which includes events, email campaigns, individual giving, and sponsorships. This position also oversees the organization's social media presence and website updates. As the sole member of the development team, the Development Manager must be a self-starter who can work independently while collaborating with staff, board members, and volunteers to achieve fundraising goals. This position reports directly to the Executive Director.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising and Donor Engagement:

In partnership with the Executive Director, develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan, including but not limited to major donors, special events, corporate sponsorships, individual giving campaigns, and food drives

Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and community partners.

Identify and engage potential new donors, both individual and corporate, to increase financial support.

Maintain donor database and ensure accurate record-keeping of donor communications and contributions.

Ensure accurate and timely processing of all gifts, including donor acknowledgements

Plan and develop appropriate donor recognition.
Events Management

Plan and execute fundraising events, including logistics, sponsorships, promotions, and volunteer coordination.

Develop creative engagement opportunities to strengthen donor and community relationships.

Evaluate event success and provide recommendations for future improvements.
Marketing Strategy and Execution:

Create compelling digital and print materials, including social media posts, newsletters, website updates, and fundraising materials.

Manage social media channels to increase followers, engagement, and brand visibility.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
-
Demonstrated fundraising growth and success at previous position(s) in a nonprofit setting. Capital campaign experience is a plus.

Knowledge of best practices in donor stewardship and experience in developing high‐impact, cost‐effective stewardship approaches

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Confident public speaker

Skills and experience with the Microsoft Office suite of software

Proficiency in social media management tools and basic graphic design software

Experience with donor databases and fundraising software.

Passion for the mission and values of SVFB

Proven organizational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while working on diverse projects under pressure
Physical Demands

This position may require extended standing or physical activity

Must be mobile and able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion
Other Requirements

Available to attend meetings, functions, and events after normal business hours on occasion
